Meet the Maker

I’m not usually very comfortable talking about myself, but I wanted to officially introduce myself to all of you who have been following me recently as I have started my journey of building my woodworking business!

My gorgeous wife, Jasmine, and I currently live in Naples, Florida. Originally I’m from Ohio and she’s from New York. We got married in June 2019 and came to Florida so I could pursue a career in professional golf. I was playing full time for a while, but in the early winter of 2020 it became apparent that it wasn’t the right time for me to make it in professional golf.

So, I turned to my other passion and my plan B, woodworking. I became interested in woodworking when I was very young because of my grandfather who has been building anything and everything since he was a kid. When I lived in Ohio I built myself a shop and just tried to sell enough to pay for some golf tournaments.

When I decided to try and start a business I had no idea if it would work. It was right at the beginning of the pandemic and I didn’t know anything about how to run or start a business. With the loving support of my wife and family, it’s actually gone pretty well! The business is growing and I’m really looking forward to the next few years and what God has planned for the three of us. Yepp, I said three because our son is due March 18th! Very excited and I hope I’ll be able to teach him some woodworking skills!

This is really just a small part about me, so in the coming days I’m going to make some more posts about things like the meaning of Psalm 139 in my business name, my faith, and even about with Tourette’s and mental illness, and my time as a first responder.

I’m looking forward to sharing a bit of my story and I’m praying that I might even be able to help/inspire someone out there who’s looking for encouragement or hope!
