Why Psalm 139…
A few weeks ago in my #meetthemaker post I said that I would continue to share some more about me, my life, and my company. In this post I’ll share about my company logo!
This logo may not look like much but it is actually very personal to me and both parts have meaning. First of all the tree. It’s a young oak tree. I’m from Ohio and on the property I grew up on we planted a few young red oak and burr oak trees. Outside my bedroom window I had the best view of a red oak tree that looked almost exactly like this logo. So it’s just a personal memory for me, as well as representing my love for trees, which are, in my opinion, one of the coolest parts of #creation .
The next part of the logo is the actual name of the business, Psalm139 Woodworks. I wanted to have a business name that was personal to me, and there’s not many things in the world more personal to me than this, Psalm chapter 139.
Ps 139:14 says,” I praise you because I fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
I grew up dealing with #tourettes and I’m still learning how to overcome it, among other mental health issues. For me, the most comforting thing in my life has always been knowing that God created me just the way I am, and though I may question why or wish that He did it differently sometimes, it’s amazing to know that He has a plan for me just the way I am.
I used this passage as the name of my business not only because it has meant so much to me and my confidence as a person, but also because I want to create #wonderfullymade products as well!
I want to appeal to anyone reading this that is struggling with mental health issues to open that #bible and read Psalm 139!
